http://act.boldprogressives.org/cms/sign/google_evil/?rd=1&source=e1-act2m-final&t=4&referring_akid=1810.401888.g3l39JThis week the New York Times reported that Google is days away from announcing a deal with Verizon that would end Net Neutrality (and the free and open Internet) as we know it. We can't let big corporations take control of the Internet - sign our letter to Google pressuring them to back out of this deal.
Our letter to Google:
Dear Google,
As a Google user, I am telling you, 'Don't be evil.' The deal between Google and Verizon as reported by the New York Times is evil, because it threatens the open Internet, which hundreds of millions of people rely on every day. Live up to your founding motto, walk away from this deal and save the Internet.
Sincerely,
I received this ntice in my inbox this AM. I have no idea if it will make a difference but I signed it. I'm also planning on contacting Alan Grayson about it. I'm not from Fl, but I have contributed to his campaign and he has made the decision not to sign te bill to get the FCC to rule against Google & Verizon stating that a law would be much better because a reg. can be changed by a future admin, changing a law would be much more difficult. BTW, there's no point i me contactig my own Rep. because he's a real RW Pug. and I fight with him all the time. Conacting him would simply push him harder to fight FOR the Co's.
