LIVERMORE, Calif. -- A Livermore woman remained behind bars after being arrested for dozens of counts of sexual assault involving two teenage boys that were only discovered after an adult found nude pictures on one of the boy's cell phones, authorities said Saturday. Livermore police spoke about the case on camera for the first time Saturday afternoon, revealing details about abuse they said began two years ago.
Authorities said the two 15-year-old boys victimized in the case were confused, manipulated, and plied with gifts by 42-year-old Christine Shreeve Hubbs. Hubbs faces 67 counts of felony sexual assault over a span of two years that allegedly started when the boys were 13. "As a result of the search warrants, we were able to locate sexual messages from Mrs. Hubbs to the 15-year-old boys including sexual pictures, nude pictures, of her to the 15-year old boys," said Livermore Police Lt. Matt Sarsfield. Sarsfield said those pictures included sex acts between Hubbs and the boys.
Police said an adult came forward who saw one of those photographs on a cell phone owned by one of the victims. "She befriended these boys by giving them gifts," said Sarsfield. "Visa cards, Xboxes, taking them out to dinner."
On Hubbs Facebook page, she listed herself as having been married to a Livermore dentist for 20 years. On the page she claims to have worked in his office. She also talks about her three young children, two girls and a boy. Police said their challenge now was to protect the privacy of the victims. "It's very difficult. The family members are known in town. She's known in town," said Sarsfield...
