McCollum: Ban Gays From Being Foster Parents

I can't get over this. It doesn't matter that he was the most do nothing Attorney General among a list of do nothing Attorney Generals, but then he can come up with an anti-gay agenda and that will bring in votes. That's how it works in Florida. Get in a position where you can stop investigations, and trash every group that doesn't resonate with those people who believe in good ole boy systems.

TAMPA, Fla. -- Bill McCollum has made it clear he supports Florida's ban on gay adoption. Now the Republican gubernatorial candidate is saying he doesn't think gay people should be allowed to be foster parents, either.

McCollum told a Florida Baptist publication that state law should be changed to keep gay people from fostering. He was quoted as saying: "I really do not think that we should have homosexuals guiding our children

2. I just hope she walks in understanding how crooked

our municipalities and State Attorney Offices are. Until we have someone in Florida willing to clean out the good ole boys, we're getting no where in this State.

3. I feel the same way about Fundy foster parents.

Fundies--who really do use every opportunity to recruite new members--should not be able to use the juvenile welfare system to spread their disfunctional theology to defenseless children. OTOH, the only thing that will happen if gays act as foster parents will be that the children will not feel like they are all alone.

4. Somebody might be doing us a great favor if they went around the

country interviewing family physicians. I bet they have more head cases with fundy parents than they do anything else.
