But at what point do you actually vote FOR something rather than accepting the lesser of two evils? While I understand the concept of not abetting a Republic Party victory, it just doesn't sit right with me to just accept 'mediocrity,' for want of a better word.

34. He's a case of a hell of a decent soul who is far more

progressive than a majority of voters in his own state. Ohio is still pretty blue in spots and things can be very close and competitive there. But since Howard Metzenbaum, there really have not been any left-leaning Democrats to win a state ballot, at least not as left-leaning as Howard Metzenbaum.

I do like Governor Ted and hope he prevails against that little weasel Kasich.

Kucinich's presence in the primaries in the past two cycles was almost a perfect model of the political brick wall he faced. He didn't have any money, and had the earnest and abiding respect of a lot of green-Dems and left-leaning Dems who nevertheless did not vote for him. In 2008 he had the benefit of changing what didn't work in 2004 but didn't seem to act on it, at least not in the degree it would have taken to make a difference. Dennis is much respected in the party but almost completely unsupported as a national candidate.

I think his best showing was Hawaii -- is that right? -- and everywhere else he was lucky to break 3 percent.
