Silence on the crisis in Pakistan?

I was astounded at the severity of the flooding in Pakistan. It's possibly one of the worst disasters of all time. Am I right in feeling that there's not much discussion of it? Compared to more recent disasters like the earthquakes. Or is it that I've just been working a lot and not around the media that often?

The North American Media is busy trying to pin everything wrong on Democrats...the vast right-wing conspiracy thing....and ignoring anything bad happening elsewhere, particularly if it means money in foreign aid or support for the 'theory' of global warming.
