SAN QUENTIN STATE PRISON, Calif. — A former nurse sentenced to death for the killing of 12 patients at two California hospitals in 1981 has died of natural causes.

Officials at San Quentin State Prison say Robert Rubane Diaz died Wednesday morning in a hospital.

The 72-year-old Diaz had been on death row since June 1984.

He was sentenced to death after being convicted of killing 12 patients at two Riverside County hospitals by giving them lethal levels of a heart medication. The patients were between the ages of 52 and 95.

I was not defending, nor did I "paint in the most very narrow and most favorable terms possible" either the RTLers nor the pro-death penalty crowd. I merely pointed out that you referenced the wrong group in your post #2. It was then that you began your childish series of LOLs" instead of acting like an adult and replying to what I wrote. I didn't realize that you were looking at the RTLers through a tunnel filled with such misinformation. For you to think that I was defending them speaks poorly of your ability to comprehend the written word. Maybe you could have shared your knowledge of these "alliances" the RTLers have with all the advocates of the horrors you listed and enlightened me. But no. You had to get all snarky and cute. What are the particulars of these "alliances". Can you specify any of them, or will you just come back with another LOL or some other snide comment?
