You probably are still feeling "vested" in this administration, and that's what makes it burn. You have to get to a place where you don't feel "part of" this administration, but an outside observer. At that point you can see Gibbs' comment for what it is, just complaining from someone who is afraid they aren't measuring up. If they were more proud of what they have accomplished, they wouldn't see it as being "not enough" but what they chose to do "instead of".

6. You are right it is hard to take

I've been at this party building for a long time, going door to door with the kids in strollers and they are in their 20's now. It gets me angry when we thought that this administration was going to start to turn things around and then the rug us pulled out. They are wrong in their assessment of things and it's unfortunate for all of us. I will only work for the most progressive of candidates. As for voting for our turned Blue Dog rep I'm not sure if I will or will write in a name at this point.

10. Gibbs and Obama haven't exactly apologized or attempted to make amends in any way.

So it doesn't seem they have the least bit of remorse or regret for those comments and are standing by them.

I know its delusional to expect a politician to live up to his campaign promises, and I know theres a lot of mythos that Obama the man probably won't live up to. But he should at least make an effort to do something progressive.

OK, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt...

In one 24 hour period I actually had to use "hide thread" over 60 times...all of them some form of a Gibbs-bashing. Although, to be fair, there were some in favor of Gibbs I ended up hiding as well. But there was plenty of outrage from the "victims" of his words.

Sixty threads in 24 hours...then I stopped counting, although my "hide thread" finger has been relatively busy again today. Except for this thread and another one that I actually bothered to read.

It's a hoot, though, considering the amount of kvetching that sometimes happens when there are, like, only three threads on the same subject.

I don't even think Sarah Palin ever got that much attention...
