And Democrats lead the generic ballot everywhere, except in the south.

This is breaking news: the GOP is starting to realise what we have known for decades: the Southern strategy alienates most voters because of its focus on elderly WASP votes. (I'm WASP myself, so I'm allowed to use that term.)

So perhaps in forty years time, the GOP will also admit that 'trickle-down economics' is another word for 'lopsided balance'?

And as early as 2030, will we hear the first GOP-er admit to some deficiencies of Reagan's terms?

We can only hope so. Unless, of course, either the GOP or the world implodes before that time.

They were white, but not Anglo-Saxon. Please remember that the WASPs moving to the New World predate the decline of the Celtic languages on the British Isles.

Edit: and the English-speaking people of mixed race were - of course - not white, while their tongue was nothing if not Anglo-Saxon.
