It has become increasingly clear to me that Tim Geithner has got to go.

The influence of anyone associated with greedsters at Goldman Sachs on this country's economy has simply got to end.

at everything he's done. When Obama chose him - well, certain things were obvious - tis all I'll say at the mo about that. Assisted former Treas. Secy Paulson @ Goldman. When appointed by Obama, it was clear nothing would change - that the fleecing of the Treasure by Wall St. would continue.

14. I'm with you on that, but is Wall Street?

I believed from day one that Obama made one of his first big mistakes in creating what should have been an image of absolute integrity by appointing Geithner as Sec of Treasury.

Geithner had a credibility problem with the public when it became known that he conveniently overlooked paying a significant amount of income tax owed. More importantly he was immersed in the problems that led up to our current problems. Some of that became blow back to Obama. The big boys didn't care as tax manipulation is something they all do. They saw that and his Fed Reserve and Wall Street background as assurance he was one of the club. Remember Leona Helmsley who said "only little people pay their taxes" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leona_Helmsley ? That is how they think.

In hindsight Bush's Treasury guy Paul O'Neill was a straight shooter with a non-typical business instead of Wall Street resume. It was obvious he was too honest for the Bushies. His background and CEO resume was actually a welcome change from the typical background of our Treasury Secretaries which have had too many connections to Goldman and Wall St. I'd much prefer to see someone with a solid economic academic background from middle America than from Wall Street. There is too much cronyism and corruption going on and it is at the taxpayer's expense.

The administration is a who's who of the DLC stars and actual Republicans all with the corporate agenda front and center and the people of no consequence other than as economic livestock.
