using the "when we can build a church over there" argument, with respect the the Mosque in NY.

They think we should have the same freedoms, morals, and ethics as over there? Should we start oppressing women (again), how about death if you're gay?

This from the same people screaming about losing freedoms, this from the "let's get back to the Constitution" crowd, this from the "America is the greatest country on earth, we have no flaws" crowd. And at the first opportunity they want us to have the same rules as "them".

Of course when it comes to things like, health care for all, they become the "fuck what other countries do" crowd. We're Americans and Americans don't do something because other countries do it, we're better than that.

I dunno, maybe they're more like them than like Americans.

1. Your point is well made. Freedom of religion is a real biggie here,

not so much in other countries. Freedom of religion---what part of that do people not get?

And anyways, why do "we" want to build a church over "there"? Many of the Muslims in this country are citizens. When the citizens of those countries want to build churches and can't, then maybe we can talk about it. Or maybe not---I believe you are right about the "fuck what other countries do" when it is convenient.

But...don't we already know what hypocrites the right are?
