Using the word "Motherfucker"....isn't that kind of a fucked up?

I was listening to a British comedian the other day and he said that the Brits don't use the word because well--- telling someone that they fuck their Mum is kind of fucked up.

Ever since I heard it put that way I find myself using it less in my everyday rants.

When you call someone a cock sucker, you're not specifying whose cock to suck. You could say, "suck my cock" and that would be more specific.

This is what bothers me when people refute fuck you with saying they wouldn't want to fuck me. It's not an offer. I'm not saying fuck me. I'm saying fuck you. I'm telling you to go fuck yourself. Now if I would have said, I want to fuck you that refute would make sense. It doesn't, however, in that context.

But calling someone a motherfucker is suggesting they like to fuck mothers. Not specific mothers, mind you. Just any mother.

Now why the hell doesn't anyone ever call someone a fatherfucker?
