hoa's and freedom of speech
so this morning I clicked on a local channel to check the weather report, and there was a segment about a guy who got a notice from his hoa (homeowners association) that flying what they called "a tea party flag" (the gadsen flag) violated the hoa restrictions. the guy was outraged that he would be considered a member of the tea party, since he is a registered republican, and this was a violation of his constitutional rights.

the hoa president said that, in signing hoa agreements, people give up their constitutional rights.

what a way to start the morning.

1. You don't give up your Constitutional rights but
HOA's do get to decide what can be on balcony's etc........ There was a lawsuit against our HOA here about flying the American flag and the home owner won the suit and now can fly the flag as long as it does not extend out over the balcony. The owner will probably have to sue.

3. I'd be telling that hoa president "F**K you and the horse you rode in on"
"I'll see you in court"

Of course I would never live in a place where there was a hoa.
