to do with 911. now we can say, per a talk person on cnn, american muslims had nothing to do with 911 either. but at least there is the slightest connection thru their more extremists in that religion. nothing, to do with sex shops. so a stupid argument.

before anyone jumps on me, all yesterday i argued the beyond outrageous that they are trying to shut down this mosque from every angle being given. i am appalled that we in u.s. are doing it. i disagree so strongly with what is happening. it disgusts me

6. Read the article

The point is it's a diverse area and claims that it's connection with 9/11 is intentional are spurious.

"There are at least 10 churches in lower Manhattan south of Canal St., three synagogues, one Buddhist community center and a Hare Krishna facility. There's also a Muslim prayerhouse that, on its website, denies any connection to 'any other organization trying to build anything new in the area of downtown Manhattan.'"

Regarding the sex shops, there's plenty of RW garbage trying to make downtown sound downright Empyrean. Krauthammer last Friday:

7. i understand the premise. i don't agree adn think it makes people look foolish

there are strong arguments for not shutting down the center. arguments that have absolutely no substance counterargument. this is not even a whimsical argument.

it's interesting to know what is allowed on that hallowed ground. I think it makes sense to anyone that hears religious arguments such as "its hallowed ground" because strip clubs generally not included in what people considered hallow ground. It certainly rings home to people that see the world with a strong religious view point.
