Michelle Rhee, Chancellor of DC Public Schools, spoke to new teachers last week.

As a reminder, Rhee is the favorite face of teacher reform because she is "hard charging" or translation fires teachers and principals, because she can.
Ms. Rhee gave an inspiring talk sharing personal anecdotes about her own days as a teacher and how she creatively addressed the bad behavior of the 35 students she walked to the cafeteria. No she didn't use her famous bee eating strategy, remember the students were walking. Yes, she tapped their mouths shut. Seriously, you can hear it here. What a wonderful face for reform we can believe in.

Lets be serious about our schools and not turn them over to special interests who market people who crave attention and know nothing about the field.
