They kept playing wiretapped conversations where Blago said "We OUGHT to make something out of this..." Of course, it sounds creepy, but
"We OUGHT to" in a private conversation, without followup proof, isn't enough to convince me they actually DID make something out of it....
I was befuddled by the whole thing. I mean, if you have a tape of somebody saying "We OUGHT to go hold up somebody for money at the corner of Hollywood and Vine" but there's never any evidence that said person actually attempted the holdup.....
I have very limited knowledge here, obviously, but it sounded like prosecutorial overreach to me.....and now Blago is live on the news saying that the lying to the FBI charge is HE said THEY said, because they didn't have a court reporter in the room when the conversation took place FIVE years ago!
Isn't there a military term, FUBAR which might fit this situation?

about this & that & what you would do if. The whole thing creeped me out, since if they could lock him up for that, then what's to stop them from locking anybody up for dreaming up some crazy harmless devious scheme and discussing it with friends. What would be next, locking up mystery writers?
