2. It's late. Things move slow here at night.

I think people do care. I also think that people are financially having a harder time. Haiti came at tax time. It is now the end of summer. For those with kids it means the extra expenses getting kids ready for another school year. For many people with children summer is far more expensive due to the children being home more of the day. Child care expenses go up, food costs go up...

Times are tough for a lot of people around the planet right now. It isn't always that people don't care.

5. This reminds me of how the world ignored

the stories coming out of Germany in the '30s. Not 'brown people' then but we always have to have a scapegoat for the haters. I hope the world doesn't wait until it's too late for many people, as they did back then. I wonder what has happened to the world that said 'never again'. I always interpreted that to mean that the world would never again stand by while people were dying if they knew about it and could prevent it.

Kudos to the human rights organizations, like Doctors Without Borders who are blind to race and religion and politics. Bless them for their decication to doing what is right. I hope they get donations to help them in their work.

8. It's a tangled web. Those who call the whole country

the 'Taleban' are no doubt supporters of this country's 'War on Terror' which is fake. As the Wikileaks proved, the U.S. knew that U.S. money was going to the Taleban, probably even Al Queda. Poor fools falling for the propaganda. We will make peace with the Taleban and proably reinstall them in AFghanistan when we're ready to leave as they seem to be good at restoring order after the chaos rained upon their country by the Super Powers. And then we'll find another enemy, and the same fools will redirect their hatred on command.
