I bet if one were to dig deeper--you could trace the stressor back to conversations at church or an affiliation with the tea party/republicans.
In that particular area of Texas--those critters are rampant.

We'll never know now because the truck is destroyed. I'd like to know what his motivations were too.

All the signs are there that he was a right winger. I know I'm guilty of heavily stereotyping Patrick Gray Sharp, but he drove a pickup, had a lot of weapons and ammunition, was a Texan and looked like a red neck. And another reason for my accusation is the fact he didn't seem to be very bright because even with all of the weapons and explosive materials, he didn't kill anyone. Since right wingers aren't usually very bright that's another sign he was a right winger.

But of course, everything I just wrote could be BS. But if I am right I doubt if the corporate media would play him up as a terrorist. That title seems reserved only for Muslims.

17. You're not kidding about Stereotyping.

As a farmer, I have a Shotgun and a .22 Caliber plinking rifle. I destroy certain non-native, introduced vermin on sight. I also drive a Pick-Up truck. It's my only vehicle, that I only use sparingly.

However, I am not a Texan, nor would I ever want to be associated with that state. I also Wear a big hat so my neck doesn't get red.

Where I live however, it seems that people judge others on how they look, and if they judge that you are unworthy, they will never speak to you to find out who you really are. Personally, I love it when others paint you as a "Hippie", "Redneck", or whatever name they wish to labels others so they can blame their woes upon them.

I love bursting their baloons when they find out I am just some retired IT Professional that has stopped working within the system and is now working for the betterment of himself, his family, and his property. When all the hate and animosity have to be thrown away by these folk, and they actually enter into a conversation, they realize what fools they have been to judge first and ask questions later.

Sterotypes are the fodder of Propagandists, similar to the statement "Professional Left" used by Gibbs recently.

My philosophy is to gather more information and do real analysis and eschew Sterotypes, because that immediately taints the conclusion, whether you realize it or not.

Remember the group that was arrested by the FBI a few months ago? I sure don't, and I haven't heard anything about them since. It was big news as I recall, so where did they go? It's like these raids are the trademark of the DLC a la Janet Reno and Waco to show America that evil is in our midsts. It usually ends very badly and their are more questions than answers. We see this pattern over and over again.

It's too early to tell about Gray, but I did see a Jab at the Constitution implanted into the article "Deputies had to wait outside his residence until they received a Search Warrant", like that was an inconvenience. What do they care? They are getting paid regardless of whether they are rummaging around some dead guys house, or waiting for a search warrant, which due to the Digital Millenium Copyright Act can be transmitted wirelessly to the field and be valid... Boo fucking hoo.. Poor cops. They paint it as such a big deal in the hopes some politician can use it in a campaign speech to alter the Constitution.

It will be interesting to see where this goes.

BUT, there is a reason stereotypes exist. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck and acts like a duck, its probably a duck, and at first glance, it would seem that this guy is exactly what we think he is.

I will reserve final judgment until all the facts come out.

A Georgia teenager says that less than an hour before Patrick Sharp tried to set off a massacre outside the McKinney police headquarters, he contacted her online.

"Killers like to share their thoughts, seek attention," read a message the girl says Sharp sent her Tuesday morning on Facebook.



"I like to scare people. I enjoy watching people beg for their life. I like watching them drown. When they take their last breath, oh it's amazing."

The short letter the girl shared with The Dallas Morning News is the first glimpse into what might have led Sharp to try to commit mass murder.

In it, he didn't mention McKinney police or whom he planned to attack, but he told the girl he might have mental health issues.

"I have alot of wrong with me, but didn't seek help," he told the girl, who is not being identified. "I don't take meds."
