The PTB will probably let CA "get away" with allowing Gay marriage so it remains at the state level. That way they can still use the issue to stir up hatred during national elections. See how that works? We won't see immigration reform for the very same reasons.

By using limited energy sources they have to find new issues.


If they were smart they would move to justice and compassion issues, although they would have to be non targeted to have lasting effect. Since those ideas when not for self gain, are not limited.
