just reporting on another one of those ahem encounters.

"We don't know how to write immigration laws..." (Get your laugh track, obviously this gentleman was an immigrant. Like me, he has an accent.

So I pointed out that no, we don't know how to enforce them, and pointed to the 1986 amnesty law and the rarely enforced fines to those who hire illegals.

But see all them illegals at EL Cajon?

Yes, and if you started fining all those who HIRE them... starting with Tyson Foods that's brought hundreds of illegals from Tehuacan, Mexico for example, and go down all the way to the person hiring a day laborer, how many people will want to HIRE illegals? Jobs will dry off... can you see how that will affect them?

He just stood there and then started screaming pure racial crap.

So I pointed out to him that he was also an immigrant. Today it is the ones from Mexico, tomorrow it is him... and as I left, he was opening and closing mouth trying to find an answer.
