I donated in celebration of landing a W-2 job last week, after 17 months of unemployment! At 56 and in this economy, I thought I was going to be in permanent economic oblivion!

9. If you can't afford it, don't do it. I don't think du will fold tomorrow.

You have to take care of yourself first. Then you will be strong and able enough to help others, or du if you choose.

10. Same here. I hated that DU might go the way of theat *nasty* site, which NEVER

seems able to reach its fundraising goals. I couldn't bear the thought that DU might not reach its funding goals.
