We could actually KICK ASS in this election, if our party's leadership wanted to

We could win by calling the Tea Party on its hate-based bullshit.

We could win by reminding people that the 'pugs want the rich back in total power(as opposed to just ALMOST total, like now).

We could win by actually defending the good things government can do for people.

We could win by mobilizing the base with a message that things could REALLY change if we got the obstructionist crazies out(we could GAIN seats with that one).

But I have the sickening feeling our leaders just want the post-1994 "good 'ol days" back. And that they'd rather triangulate THAN win.

Could somebody please tell me why I SHOULDN'T believe all of the above?

1. If you can successfully triangulate, you don't have to *actually* "change" anything

...since your corporate sponsors don't want you to, anyhow..

But you can safely talk about changing things, all while bemoaning the "hard facts" that keep you from getting anything actually done...

But the media ignore it. And most of the online progressive media we should be counting on ignore it too. Too many are stuck in the past still fighting Bill Clinton triangulation.

Bill Clinton proposed things down the middle of what Congressional Democrats and Republicans wanted.
Obama proposes things to the left of what Congress will pass.
There's a fundamental difference.
