Republicans and Psychobaggers are the real enemies within

Not the Sufis who want to build the Cordoba House, who are doing what generations and generations of Americans have done since the founding and before.

Of course this is true. Indisputable. But try telling the truth as a Democratic politician, which is what I think most progressives really want, really believe in the depth of their souls, they should do. Just come out and tell the truth: Republicans and psychobaggers are attempting to murder America.

What do you think would happen? Average slack-jawed ignoramuses in the heartland weighing the charges: Let's see, um, Dems say my neighbors are the enemy, Repubs say those dark-skinned fellers that knocked down the Trade Towers are the enemies. Hmmm.... Let's see...

The Republicans would clean up and the dark ages would fall upon us for who knows how long.

This is the nauseating paradox of American democracy and freedom. We trust the slack-jaws to know better. They know nothing!

That's our democracy, friends. Our predicament.
