Kennedy would impose papal law on America,” the mayor said. “But through his example, he taught us that piety to a minority religion is no obstacle to patriotism. It is a lesson that needs updating today, and it is our responsibility to accept the challenge.

It's a shame more Democrats, especially NY Democrats, don't have the courage that Bloomberg has.



Howard Dean and Harry Reid... please rethink your position. You're both very wrong. Bloomberg is showing you the way to attack this issue. Pay heed.

9. Mike Bloomberg is no Ross Perot

Perot had his support of Vietnam veterans giving him instant credibility with people who had never before heard of him, Bloomie doesn't have anything nearly that good going for him. He's anathema to folks outside the blue states, and Perot was popular (for awhile) with red staters.

His insensitive remarks regarding the issues with Native American Tribal Treaties in NY have turned me off completely.
His statements on the Community Center and Rauf are simply based on furthering his business interests in my opinion.
