large majority and deserves the backing of all Democrats here in Florida. I will admit to entertaining the idea of supporting Crist only because extremes must be taken to keep Rubio out. Many of us looked at Meek's unimpressive numbers prior to the election and came to that conclusion. That thought process has bitten the dust. Meek is indeed, a very viable candidate and his numbers last night proved that. Florida Dems do NOT want Rubio in that senate seat and this seemed the only viable option we had. No more. I agree with the previous posters re Meek and his chances of winning in November. They look very good and I look forward to helping make that happen.

Scott and Meek are in different races, and both Scott and McCollum received more overall votes than Meek.

And as someone noted downthread, Rubio got more votes than all the Democratic Senate candidates combined. I don't see how this is positive in any way.

Because he will keep a lot of the Republican votes and dilute the vote of Marco Rubio. In a 3-way race, Meeks could actually win.

When you look at current polling, which shows Meek in a distant 3rd place, his only room for growth I winning back Democratic voters from Crist, so they are essentially fighting over the same voters There aren't going to be many voters that shift from Rubio to Meek, so any rise in the polls for Meek will come at the expense of Crist, and work to Rubio's advantage.
