In the end, was it worth it?

That's the question I would like to ask Glenn Beck , Sarah Palin , the entire Faux News channel and the other folks who are running around creating division and promoting intolerance. As the instigators sit back and cash their huge paychecks, and watch Americans shouting at each other and calling each other vile names, was it worth it?

Was it worth it, knowing the entire world is watching, listening and absorbing everything that we're putting out. Was it worth it, knowing that the damage that has been done may never be repaired? I have to wonder what's going to happen once those voices of intolerance fade away and are proven wrong ( and they will be, they always are) What's going to be left standing? The Islamic Center.. maybe, The ideals of what this country was founded on...perhaps, but one things for certain... The hurt and pain that has been thrust upon American Muslims, will be something they'll carry inside them for years to come; and again, I have to ask, was it worth it?

6. Sure. Distractions are always useful.

Make people upset and divided over something that really isn't that crucial. Take people's eyes off what is really important. No matter what side anyone is on, the "ground-zero mosque" is a tempest in a teapot. Why anyone is still discussing it is sopmewhat of a mystery to me. This is one of the least important topics the nation should be discussing, and there are some powerful interests who want the focus diverted away from what's important.
