Posters from the past that Can Guide Us in the Future

"This summer we have seen a lot of interest in posters from the World Wars, thanks to the opening of an exhibit at the National Agricultural Library. There is a wonderful online presentation of the show, curated by Corey Bernat, at Beans are Bullets.

I have been fascinated by the similarity in the messages from the two World Wars to the messages environmentalists are saying today: walk more, conserve more, save more. We previously looked at food, gardening and canning with Food Posters From the Past are Recipes for the Present; here we look at more posters addressing conservation."

2. I love that - we have our victory garden and canned 70+ jars of dill
pickles in the last couple days. Also froze about 25 bags of rhubarb. Butchered 3 pigs for our 3 families and have chickens that lay so many eggs we give many away.
