Here's what we really need to fear.
Over population. In the mid 1970s, the Earth’s population was approximately four billion people. It’s estimated that by next year, the world’s population will reach seven billion.

The real threat to every human being on this planet is that Earth’s resources are being stretched to the breaking point. And we are doing nothing to stop this impending disaster.

Are we doomed to go the same way as the dinosaurs? I have no idea. And the only remedies I can think of are:

A nuclear holocaust.

A plague, such as that which killed almost half the population of Europe in the 14th century.

A meteor hitting Earth.

A limit of only one child per family. (China did this in the 20th century.)

I’m sure there are many other possible scenarios, but these are the obvious ones that come to mind.

So what’s to be done? Well, we can follow China’s attempt at a solution. Or we can give a free hand to all those who believe in genocide. Or we can go pray to some universal intelligence that may or may not exist. Or, we can just ignore it, thus assuring that our grandchildren and/or great grandchildren may have abbreviated lives.

For those who don’t believe there’s a problem, you can always hope that the worldwide food riots don't come about in your lifetime. But of most importance, become aware of the enormous threat that the entire human race is facing. If you have a possible solution, I'd really like to hear it.

2. What's *really* scary
is the possibility that some individuals and groups agree with your assessment that the world is overpopulated, and that they will actively pursue an agenda to reduce the population by any & all means. Of course, these powerful entities will endeavor to ensure *their own* survival*; it's YOU and ME that's expendable.

6. It has already started
Continuous wars, bringing the middle down to poverty wages, using nations' resources for expansion of military so there is no money to help the people at the bottom.

4. Don't worry between the oil running out (and taking fertilizer with it) and raising sea levels
there will be plenty of 'natural' disasters to thin the human herd. Look at Pakistan.

5. No kids here..we just adopt rescue dogs
4 is all we can responsibly handle so we are full up..but have a huge yard in the country.
I see folks defending the right of folks like the Duggar family that have crowds of kids. Yea so what they can afford the cash outlay, but those resources we all need they take more than a fair share. Unless they like us raise a garden for food. They are still irresponsible in my view.
