Poopsnakes
Our local newspaper has very strict rules about election letters, especially when it comes to word-count. No letter exceeding that word-count will be published. Unless it's a letter about the editors' preferred republican candidate, and then it's just neatly shifted to the column for plain old ordinary letters to the editor.

And the editors and publisher wonder why they're losing subscribers.

1. Many papers (esp. the NYT and Wash. Post) lost all credibility during BushCo's*...
reign of error - Yet they have the nerve to complain about lost revenue, looking without for the cause of their declining fortunes (it's all the intertubes, you know).

I laugh when they call to sell a subscription, citing the horoscope and comics as the only trustworthy page(s).
