Last night on Countdown, Oberman announced the 2-day free health clinic scheduled for next week was $200,000 short. Tonight he announced $320,000 was taken in since then. YES!

Here we have Keith Olbermann appealing to his mostly sane, probably mostly liberal viewers and kachink - in rolls $320,000 in a 24-hour period for a great cause.

Then we have the self-promoting, egomaniacal Glenn Beck looking tomorrow to line his own pockets amd where there's an excellent chance for violence. And where some participants may need the services of a free health clinic.

Good that they have the money. Bad that we have a system in this country that makes this necessary.

What I'd like to see come out of this is progressive Democratic candidates during the 2010 campaign season highlighting these clinics over and over again. People are desperate for health care as the turnouts at every single clinic demonstrate.

11. The richest 1% couldn't care less about people in need.

You have to be a sociopath to get that much money. The most generous people are the poor and middle class. A homeless man who gives away his last dime gives away more that all the billionaires give combined. When a poor msn gives it means he will have to do without something, even food. But if or when a rich person gives they sacrifice nothing. They don't do without a meal. They don't turn off their air conditioners. They don't cancel their month long vacations. They give absolutely nothing of themselves. They would never give enough where it deprived them of any luxury.
