The Glen Beck diversion has worked
Edited on Sat Aug-28-10 06:33 AM by Stuart G
Sure Beck picked this day and that place for to make a racist point.
Sure Beck picked this to focus on himself.
Make a big deal..

But that is not why this was done on this day and at that place

It is all a diversion, and it worked.
The 5th anniversery of a Republican disaster that killed a thousand people.
A federal government completely controlled by Republicans that didn't care enough to try to save the residents of an American City cause they were poor blacks.(who happened to be American citizens)

This diversion away from the real story is what this is really about.
Katrina represents the ultmate racism and failure of their government.
They didn't give a shit, they don't give a shit now, and they will never give a shit
.. and they don't want you to spend one moment realizing it.

The mainstream media must be focused away..far away from the real issue.
Focus instead on Glen Beck, his rants, his view, his insanity.
And it seems to have worked.

1. I watched the Brian Williams special on MSNBC last night and
I finally had to turn it off. I was so ashamed of how our government responded. I'm sorry to say that I believe that if Glen Beck's crowd of hateful white people had been in the Superdome rather than the black citizens of NO, they would have had food, water and air conditioning....and bathrooms that worked. God help us.

5. You had better believe it..if they were whites, from a "middle class" area..
Edited on Sat Aug-28-10 08:11 AM by Stuart G
this disaster would have been headed off after the first or second day.
Bush/Cheney would have found some time to do something..especially if it were in Texas.

It is their ultimate failure. Not enough help, much too late. No focus..
Complete lack of concern and lies from the federal government. No sence of urgency at all because of who was being hurt and killed and where it happened.

Bush, the President, never cared about these people. The military should have been there almost immediately, but they were not brought in for 5/6 days.
What kind of leadership is that?..It is uncaring, selfish, mean ... Like Bush/Cheney..

So the elite media, Roger of Fox News, and others..concocted this rally to divert attention from anniversery. Sure Beck was part of it. But he isn't all of it. It is a coordinated effort. How sad, yet so much like them

filled with bullshit remover. The plan is to make it look like the "rapture," because bullshit remover would wipe out every beckkkerwood without leaving anything but their sheets and jackboots. Duct tape and plastic wrap won't save the Kool-Aid KKKrusaders.

4. And the republicans who are sponsoring this mess
want to try to win the elections in November. They are trying to make it seem as if the republicans are the peace loving, caring and responsible ones. Thats one of the things they are trying to do. I hope it blows up in their faces and becomes a disaster. Not for anybody to get hurt, but for it to be shown up for what it is a PR mess.

7. Just like
the diversion of the "downtown cultural center" worked to stop the news that the GOP killed healthcare for the Ground Zero workers.

9. My one faux news zombie sister on Katrina, as it happened, "I don't feel sorry for those people,
they knew it was coming and chose not to leave."

I agree: diversion. :nuke:

11. Because they didn't have a working car,
money for gas or train/bus fare, a credit card to charge a room for X number of nights and pay for restaurant meals. How many people in the Superdome were elderly or in wheelchairs?

My dad is 84 and has Alzheimer's and multiple medical conditions. I would really be torn between a natural disaster and a car trip that might make him gravely ill. He couldn't have sat hours in a traffic jam in blistering heat.

14. I pray she wakes the hell up soon, because what goes around....
She thinks that feeling compassion for babies makes her a special woman!

Delusions of superiority and no compassion, what a combination...

12. You are correct.. and those that know..will never forget the
indifference, arrogance, and lies that George Bush demonstrated when he ignored New Orleans 5 years ago.

13. I haven't forgot Katrina and its continued impact in this country.
It was a very shameful time in recent history depicting a government not caring for its people.

This alone should have brought Bush and his cronies in front of the World Courts.

How does W. sleep at night? Why would anyone believe his "sudden push" for funds to help Haiti after what happened on the Gulf Coast?

With his long list of wrongdoing, I'm sure Bush will be flung far from the gates of St. Peter.

16. Thank you! k*r
I was wondering and you gave a very good answer.

We'll see many more diversions like this with the economy in a nosedive. The PTB can't change the status quo
without a huge fear of losing money. Therefore, they will hang on like crazy and do everything that they can
to keep us from spotting their bull shit diversions.
