Rep. Grayson is displeased w. Alan Simpson.
Excerpt from fundraising email:

>>>>Deficit Commission Republican Co-Chair Alan Simpson just called Social Security a "milk cow with 310 million tits."
Simpson seems to know a lot about farm animals. Which isn't surprising, because only a swine would use such words to describe a program that we rely on to pay for food, medicine, and rent. Simpson is known for calling Social Security recipients 'greedy geezers', even while living on a generous government pension.
Enough of this nonsense. Fire this guy. And stop the Commission's goal of cutting Social Security.>>>>>

In fact, I believe Simpson called AARP members "greedy geezers,"... not SS recipients, per se.

But can we *clone* Grayson; and then run him in all 435 districts? We need candidates who can COMMUNICATE. Who can connect the dots.

The Obamacrats send out mixed messages ( to wit: hiring Simpson in the first place. Yes, I know, there was an extenuating circumstance; he was supposed to deliver on something or other. How's that part working out, BTW?)

Result: large portions of the electorate want the federal gov't to "keep its hands off of my SS". And harbor a myriad of other misconceptions re. gov't. in general.

Can't we speak PLAINLY? Obama hints tantalizingly here and there that he's going in that direction but then pulls back. And appoints a Simpson, for example, to co-chair a crucial commission.

This is not a recipe for progress. It may be enough to have him squeak thru 2012 with GOP congressional majorities in both houses but it is not a recipe for *progress*.
