Palin: "Really appreciating our military here today is reflected I think that sentiment"
http://blogs.abcnews.com/thenote/2010/08/sarah-palin-at-glenn-becks-rally-dr-king-would-be-so-proud.html
...

Someone: The polls said it couldn't happen and now it's happening?

Palin: Because Joe Miller is the right one for Alaska and he's the right one to help put our country back on the right track.

Amanpour: What do you think he'll do for your state?

Palin: He knows that it's time for Alaska to start contributing more to the U.S. with development, with responsible development of our resources instead of being a taker state being a contributor. We're so vastly wealthy with our resources but the federal government has to allow us to tap into those resources so that we can become energy secure as a nation.

Amanpour: How do you think your candidates with fare in the midterms?

Palin: I think a lot of common sense, constitutional conservatives -- that's what Americans are ready for that kind of change where we get back to protecting our constitution and limiting government. That's what I think we need to see reflected here even though this is a rally about restoring honor. Really appreciating our military here today is reflected I think that sentiment...

Bradley: How do you think Dr. King would feel about this rally?

Palin: I hope that Dr. King would be so proud of us, as his niece Dr. Alveda King is very proud as a participant in this rally. This is sacred ground where we feel his spirit and can appreciate all of his efforts. He who so believed in equality and may we live up to his challenge.

10. Slashing The Political Budget
Do these idiots realize that when they keep telling us what we need is LESS government it translates to LESS in Congress. If we have less for them to do then we should have less of them to do it with! Why are they always harping on slashing the jobs of others not realizing that their jobs could also be part of the economizing?
I also find it amazing that they complain about the fear of losing THEIR freedoms. They seem to do fairly well in my book. THEY give themselves raises while restricting seniors. THEY complain about the drain S.S. has on THEIR budget but all the while many of them scoop up that extra piddly check every month without thought that many have that and ONLY that to live on. Why should many of them take it at all since they are far from needing that small stipend every month.
They never want to make it look like every rally they have is political and yet stumping is their middle name. Every speech, every rant they give is a hint to future.possible voters so much so that buzz words are used so much in their rallies, speeches, talks that their rarely make little sense. Words like freedom,God,Constitution, faith, future, past, present are all intended for their future voting public. WE know who they are and THEY know who they are. Once they talk to their level they got that voter sewed up. Toss in a few freedoms, several God and a new favorite brought up today--darkness(let's not forget to add that edge of fear into them as well.) If you don't vote for me do you know what will happen? kind of line leaving it go unanswered will have them quaking in their designer sneakers.
It's time we get a few buzz words of our own. It's time we speak the truth and really let people know what there is to fear(and it's more then just fear itself)!!

4. Please remind your teabagging friends (if you have any)
that for them to bring up King's niece as some sort of symbol of legitimacy or stamp of approval for all this mess is like using Ron Reagan Jr. as a stamp of approval for conservatism.

I've seen it several times today on Facebook and other political message boards. I know, they're only parroting what they hear Caribou Barbie and their other fearless leaders saying:

"I hope that Dr. King would be so proud of us, as his niece Dr. Alveda King is very proud as a participant in this rally."

Yeah, because ideology is hereditary, just like Islam. Just ask Franklin Graham.

Palin has obviously been coached for some time, but I think she has come as far as she is able. She seems to have little comprehension of logical or rational thought - I doubt she knows how limited her thought processes are compared to most people. The problem is she has a lot of company, and they seem to be ecstatic that one of their own kind made the big time.

You hit it on the head. That's the appeal. And with our under-resourced public and higher education systems, it's going to remain that way, I'm afraid. There's a direct correlation (in my book) with increasing idiocy of American public, and diminishing access to a college education.

Let's just hope it's "cyclical"...

It does say a lot about the sad state of our educational system - no knock on teachers either - the curriculum has been so dumbed down, it is a joke...

9. Palin & Co are Fascist Funded Propagandists imho

in it for all they can rip off the rest of us

Palin at one time had a public service job
then quit. Do you think it was because she
wanted to cash in?

Fascism?

The National Wealth is in the hands of relatively few, which in turn funds right wing propaganda, supported by Big Corporate, all at the expense of the majority of the populace.

This was and is now again becoming, Fascism.

ELEMENTS
Right Wing

Big Corporate

Money > few, big, corporate sources
funding
Propaganda, Media Control

vs interest of majority

scapegoating > latinos, muslims
don't want to use their money to improve economy

deficit, it was great for them when they weren't paying taxes and their stock market was bubbling

Why are they against Obama? ...their greed for money and power w/out consequences

Wow, is she irony-challenged!

That's the same Dr. Alveda King who provided the anti-equality rhetoric as a featured speaker on NOM's anti-gay bus tour throughout the summer! :puke:
