The throngs at many of those cities by aerial view covered blocks and blocks of city streets in waves of protestors in different cities and towns, in different states. They didn't have a demogogue whipping them up for ages ahead with hate mongering. They didn't consist of just one demographic of mostly white, over 65, pre-Civil Rights, segregationist, beer-bellied racists. They were old and young, black and white, white and blue collar, and every other brand of American you could imagine. So, no. Beck's rally doesn't impress me one bit.

Instead of "scaring" wealthy people, why not offer them a tax INCENTIVE to save less and spend more? Maybe raise tax on savings and long term investments? His support, at worst, is maybe ten-points off what it was from the 2008 election. Remember, he had roughly 47% of the country vote against him. His disapproval, by average, is around 49-50%. So there isn't much difference between those who disapprove of him now than those who didn't even vote for him in 2008.

On the support side, I'll concede it's not nearly as solid. His approval rating is roughly 45% and that's not fantastic numbers by any means.

Yet it's better than any Republican nationally. Certainly better than Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck.

If Obama were to hold a rally, I have no doubt in my mind he could get 87,000 people easily.

was a brilliant / joyous campaigner. Now he looks old and sad. Seems like Michelle lost her radiant face about the time that she was planting her organic garden. I really get sick of the media, mostly right-wing for sure, keeps calling some fairly milquetoast changes "liberal." We can't afford to go back now - and do you really want to see Sharron Angle and the rest of the new crop of Repub creeps take over the Congress?

If the Dems continue their policy of passivity and fear of Republican lies, expect a big right wing victory in November. Like it or not, this will be the inevitable consequence of the party's policy of continued passivity.

They were selling water with the Restoring honor label on the bottle. They were selling t-shirts,programs,tapes water and flags. They told the people that they were going to donate all the money minus the cost of the rally. Now we know " You Betcha" Palin charges up wards to $100,000 for a public appearance. What did the other's charge for such an appearance? And exactly how much will be donated to the veterans after expenses. I am sure they sold quite a bit of non socialist water.:P :P :P

And we still packed the house!!

Taco Bell Arena was packed to the rafters, standing room only.
And he wasn't even the Democratic presidential nominee yet!!
