I don't have to call the right wing 'Nazis'. The actions and targets of the right wing are identical to the Nazis in the 1930s. Thanks for that list targets by fascists.

It's going to get dangerous in the country very soon. No one in power, either on the right or the left is saying anything to quell the madness. It's as if they are clueless about what is happening. Perhaps they are trying to walk a fine line lest they incite the right wing even more, but that logic is flawed. No matter what the democrats do they will get attacked. They could adopt everything the right wing wants and it wouldn't stop one right winger from being angry. They hate a black president. That's the bottom line. And they will do anything to cause him to fail, even destroy the United States.

5. It's Times Like this when DU Is an Oasis

When the news just can't get any more depressing,when the only tea bag you want to see is the one in the bottom of your teacup you can come here and get refreshed,energized and just knowing there are some people who agree with you,others with complete sanity--people who speak in entire sentences--people who have both questions and answers to many of todays problems. They don't rely on others to tell them what to say. They study the news,read the history and think with logic and heart. I am glad you are here today!

Before I found DU I wondered where all the sane, informed and intelligent people were. This is an oasis, a community watering hole where like-minded people can talk about issues and events, even in complete sentences! :)

I used to battle a myriad of people in other forums and right wingers always used the same tactics. And their posts were always short, chock full of misssspeeellleed words and very abusive. It was obvious none of them wanted to have a back and forth exchange of ideas like grownups. They could barely write one short sentence and paragraphs were way beyond their capabilities. In forums where posts could be rated they didn't even read an entire post to give it a thumbs down. They systematically went through every post and just looked for a heading they didn't like or one word of dissent from their opposition and they tried to get the post hidden with 'thumbs down' options. On Yahoo if you received five or more thumbs down your post was hidden, but then I complained to Yahoo and they changed their procedure and they no longer hide posts like they used to. It only took two or three days after my complaint that they changed their process.
