7. Seems like everything I ever read about South Dakota is always positive.

I've never been west of the Mississippi but for some time now I have been thinking I'd
like to visit Rapid City, perhaps even to live there if I could take the winters. :shrug:

11. Oh but the real thrill of living there would be to live out on the

northern plains of SD. There, you see 3 people in a week, drive 40 miles for groceries, endure harsh windy snow-swept winters for 12 weeks at a time, and suffer in the dead heat of a windless hot summer day.

9. problem with those cold states next to Canada is,

there are huge expanses of plains with one house on them that has been in the same family forever. I have yet to hear of anyone wanting to move to North Dakota because the climate is so nice, or that there are jobs there (are there?), South Dakota, Idaho, Montana are the same thing. Jeez, do people ever get outa their snomobile suits long enough to make babies or at least try to?

As a resident of Floriduh, I have to admit I have my share of wonderment at the folks living in mid peninsula. It's like going 100 years back in time when I visit Frostproof, Christmas, Arcadia, Walley and a not so few number of other locales.

You also have to remember that with our buddy jeb in office, the dumbing down of our educational system didn't include excemptions for economics.
