Only instead of an albino Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan being the president, it was George W. Bush. Not only were the Tea Baggers okay with it, they were actively cheering it on! Only now, when the impact of the ruinous Bush policies is falling on their pointy little heads, do they finally realize what "we guys" were talking about for eight fucking years. Hard to believe we'd conclude from the evidence that the Tea Baggers are bigoted, but that conclusion is pretty inescapable for anyone with more than three working brain cells.

But the mass movement with the tea party did not start under Bush at all. There was some grumbling, but the real outrage was ginned up by Fox only after Obama became president. So, this "editorial cartoon" really misrepresents the truth, because it is trying to claim by implication that all the things teabillies are mad about started under Obama, since they supposedly weren't mad until Obama took office.
