Do you think the Beck For God Fest attendees were frustrated?
Edited on Mon Aug-30-10 01:18 PM by JuniperLea
I think they came for their usual hate-fest and the whole thing didn't live up to their expectations.

Any reports from FreeperVille? I really can't stand going there... but love when you guys report back!

4. They'll just fucking simmer in shit and blame it on Obama and the n----rs
they'll say their constitutional rights were violated and they couldn't say what they wanted and that is cuz of Obama as a dictator with his healthcare and shit.

The no signs thing will be blamed on Obama.

They'll just play it and spin it and get more delusional and become more angry and mad.

The fuckers

5. Do many freepers actually like Glenn Beck?
I would have to think that only the most illiterate people with incredibly poor critical thinking skills are Beck fans. Are they really that stupid? I never look at Free Republic, so, I don't know. Maybe they are?

8. I asked this same question
Edited on Mon Aug-30-10 01:34 PM by TheMuse
They were probably expecting their usual rhetorical bullshit. The guys wanted to stare at palins t&a and go into a frenzy about how awesome she is. Normal everyday girl, dontcha know.

Beck was probably disappointed because I am sure he is so deluded by his own vomit inducing rhetoric, that I am sure he thought by the end of his little reveal as nothing other than the second coming of Jesus Christ, he expected his followers to be lifted to heaven en masse, and Obama to reveal himself as the Anti-Christ.

9. You could see it in their body language.
Edited on Mon Aug-30-10 01:44 PM by EFerrari
I watched during the gospel singing. Some of them were bored and sort of looking around. Some of them looked sort of stunned and some of them looked angry. There were a few people who got into the music but the majority sat there as if they were watching a bad commercial at half time.

12. Oh, they'll find a way to blame Obama
It is in their DNA. It is just what they do. Someone, somewhere will blame Obama for the lack of signs, and taking away freedom of speech, and being a Maoist dictator.

Glenn will continue to bumble on, cry about the faltering of his America. Then climb into his Bentley, drive home, and rub Ann Coulter's balls all night long.

13. It's hard to tell. These folks probably get some kind of praise
from their social circle for making it to DC. But after that mess Beck gave them, you have to wonder how many of them want to see a rerun.

14. Yeah, I can't see this event living up to their expectations at all...
Beck spends so much time whipping them to a hateful froth, I'm betting they were looking forward to more of the same.

They looked mighty bored to me.

19. I'm betting on BecKKK's ratings tanking.. and soon.
he did not give the sheep what they went there for.

Those people didn't attend for Glen Beck, they attended to hear the message of HATE that keeps their hope alive that the black president will be a one termer. They did not get that message at all. They will abandon Beck.

and that's not what they went there to see at all.

They were PISSED!

20. I didn't see the gospel singing part,
but what I did see of it, included one interview that surprised a few people that didn't know that Beck was a Morman!! ...and "real down to earth, Evangelical Christians" believe that Mormans are a CULT !!111, dontcha know? These people are too sad to fall for this crap! I did sense a bit of an "anti climactical" mood....like...IS THIS ALL THERE IS???

17. When the cameras panned the crowd, they sure didn't appear to be very happy.
.. especially as they were leaving. Most that I saw had a "was that IT?" look on their face.

They paid a lot of money to hear some anti-Obama talk and they left disappointed.

But, at least they helped the U.S. ecomomy by buying all those plane tickets, bus tickets, gasoline, food, and hotel rooms.

They are probably kicking themselves today.

HAHAHA!!

21. I didn't see them as they left...
I bet they were pissed and disappointed!

I heard the majority were bused in... and I wondered about the money. I'd like to see how much the tickets were... who paid for the buses, etc. The money remaining was to go to a veteran's group... I wonder if they saw any money at all.

They did eat and stay in hotel rooms... that's stimulating the economy! Good!

24. Thom Hartmann was talking today about how Beck is really
taking the mouth breathers for a ride as far as religion goes. Apparently Mormons have an entirely different belief about what God is and who Jesus was, etc., etc., so he's really feeding this bunch a large pile of baloney. (I think it's all baloney, but that's another discussion to have.) Thom also mentioned the gathering was originally going to be a book promo event, but blow back made them dig up a charity and cook up a new reason - "restoring honor" - to have it. It's mind boggling to think people actually paid good money and drove/flew long distances for this gathering. Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb.

25. I can't believe how so many seem to just not get...
That Jesus taught love, tolerance, charity, and peace... and they go on to be hateful, greedy, bigoted warmongers... sometimes in the name of God.

Like their fearless leader... Beckkk.
