legacy as a "counter rally" to the glenn beck event.

I HATE THAT SHIT AND I HATE THE SO-CALLED U.S. MEDIA!

Edited to add proof that MSNBC sucks:

1. Sharpton tried to get in front of that last week...
His event was being planned long before Beck's, according to Sharpton. I'll believe Sharpton.

10. I guess we have to remember that many of these people hadn't been BORN when MLK, Jr.
held his famous gathering. But they should have had something about it in school...

12. It's sad how much has been forgotten about MLK...
I remember... I was just a little girl, but I remember the division in my own family. Racist hicks vs the more educated, younger people (my parents). It was just like Archie Bunker vs. The Meathead.

I went to see Joan Baez twice this month... she marched with MLK, and she always has stories to tell at her shows. We need more like her.

MLK was all about all of us. His dream was about all of us being together, side by side, hand in hand... an end to bigotry and racism. I'm not sure what people are thinking these days.

And now they're going to talk to Brad Pitt about Katrina, like he's some fountain of wisdom. How is this news?! :wtf:

13. I hear he gives 1/3 of his earnings to charity...
The best part is he doesn't tout this himself... you have to dig for this kind of thing.

19. I was listening to NPR over the weekend.
They were interviewing some of the people that this program has helped, and they were ecstatic about their new homes.

Pitt is committed to the long-term success of this project, it's not just some publicity stunt. There is much more to come.

21. So true! If it were a publicity stunt...
I would have surely heard about it long before now.

Kudos to Pitt!

18. Brad Pitt has every right to speak on a subject he knows well
He's done great work there, admirable in the extreme. And you slam him for what he does for a living, I assume? What is it that you do for a living?
Brad Pitt has done more for New Oreleans, and knows more about it, than any of the President's men, my friend. In addition, Brad Pitt is a true ally to my community, when the President simply is not.

17. I caught that too - counter rally...
really pissed me off - Beck's rally was just another way to show their 'superiority' - "See, I get what I want anytime and anywhere I want" Oh Karma, Karma, where are you when we need you! B-)
