|
WTF??
What is wrong with these people?
"Godly Principles"? Like lying, cheating, stealing, killing...?
That's about all I've seen from the right wing.

I would love to "de-friend" him, but it would stir up a shit storm.
For now, I just ignore his posts (or try to).

24. Fuck that. To me, RW bullshit means instant defriending, no matter who. |
|
Well, maybe if it's your current boss, it would be wise to use stealth hiding instead.

I think the Beck rally was designed to serve the same purpose as the 1936 Munich Olympics -- to put a "kinder, gentler" face on a fascist ideology and make it more palatable to the general public.
The Saturday fox love fest was nominally to raise money for charity, IF it made a profit. What are the odds that this charity for service men and women ever sees a dime?

8. what's wrong with them? they're fascists. your "friend" is a fascist |
|
that's the truth of the matter in this case.
people should understand what they promote - and, in the case of your friend, that person is promoting fascism.

10. I finally had to "de-friend" someone I went to high school with |
|
because of her attitude towards President Obama. We got into a "discussion" back on Memorial Day when the President attended the ceremony at the national cemetary in Illinois. She was incensed that he had not attended the Arlington ceremony and went on and on about how he wasn't fit to be president, etc. I let it go for a while but a few weeks ago she started posting crap about how much vacation the President has taken and more garbage about how she hates him for being president. I decided I didn't care; life is too short to have to deal all the time with right-wing idiots. I imagine that she is posting similar sentiments about the Beck-a-thon, Godly principals and all.

17. Speaking of FB friends and fascist rallies... |
|
A FB "friend" tagged me in a picture from the rally, a pic of a bunch of people "spontaneously" unfurling a massive homemade American flag on the steps of what I think's the Lincoln Memorial. Problem: I live in England so I probably would have remembered being there.

And we can argue forever over what "Godly" means, just as people always have.
