It is called a system burp... a network burp.

It happens.

Once it leaves their system, they have no control over it.

No, I am not excusing the President, or most likely the low drone that pushed SEND. But this is a NETWORK burp... and it means somewhere in server land there was a problem.

have you ever taken a networking class? I did for fun once. And at the time 5% of all messages got lost in server land, while another 5% were just late. It is in the protocols.

These days we have gotten a little better, but some PACKETS will still be lost, and others be late, and a few get garbled in translation.

I don't care who sends them over the network... they get lost.

And a few networks around the world are outright blocked by others.

This is not a political problem, but a network problem.

candidates, and whenever he got a text from the campaign he'd make a point of mentioning it -- not that he thought the campaign really gave a shit, but just to show how well the campaign was using that type of stuff. And I totally agreed; it did impress me, and at the very basic level, it got us talking about Obama for the bajillionth time that day (we worked together). Now I see a bunch of people -- and granted, I understand it's not the same team anymore -- who act like they threw all that crap out the window the day after the election.
