In your head....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Ejga4kJUtsThat song came over the airwaves today & I started crying...I guess we all have Zombies to deal with at times..
Mine are the run of the mill.Especially compared to the topic of the song.
But I'll get there. I had a lot of childhood drama .Divorce, death & constant fighting & hate. A uber dysfunctional family. I was an alcoholic till 38 & nearly died that way.
But I was blessed & lucky. I stopped drinking cold turkey. I now have a happy family that does not know the old me & I like it that way.
But it's hard to explain to my kids why a song would make me-a rough tough full of stuff grumpy old man-to start bawling. It's those damn Zombies I guess...Luckilly I was all alone metal detecting by a gorgeous river. One of these days I'll explain to my girls about the pain I went through. But I'm not worried about it. We have love & trust. I'm very proud of that.

And the reason I'm posting about this in GD is I think America is gonna be crawling with the victims of Zombies & very soon.
The political climate is nothing short of vitriolic. I have seen a civil war looming or at very least a bunch of RW nut jobs starting a shooting match with whoever they deem to be the enemy.
We let loose a million Zombies on the citizens of Iraq...And Afghanistan and so many other places we don't freaking belong or even understand the culture.
America's dumbed down for War & servitude. The zombies will multiply as the dreams of America are shattered. Bone by grizzled bone America is turning into a nation at each others throats. Crawling with Zombies...

Lyrics to "Zombies" by the Cranberries.
Another head hangs lowly,
Child is slowly taken.
And the violence caused such silence,
Who are we mistaken?
But you see, it's not me, it's not my family.
In your head, in your head they are fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are crying...
In your head, in your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie,
Hey, hey, hey. What's in your head,
In your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie?
Hey, hey, hey, hey, oh, dou, dou, dou, dou, dou...
Another mother's breakin',
Heart is taking over.
When the vi'lence causes silence,
We must be mistaken.
It's the same old theme since nineteen-sixteen.
In your head, in your head they're still fighting,
With their tanks and their bombs,
And their bombs and their guns.
In your head, in your head, they are dying...
In your head, in your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie,
Hey, hey, hey. What's in your head,
In your head,
Zombie, zombie, zombie?
