I didn't realize that the Pentagon/MIC could restrict my First Amendment rights as well as morph the Copyright Act of 1976, 17 U.S.C. § 107 with zero, zip, nada Congressional approval. (NOTE: I will be revising the preceding sentence.) It sure is beginning to smell like fascism.[br />
unhappycamper summary of this article: This is a relatively simple story to tell. The United States Navy's Deepwater program specified that LCS ships were going to cost $200 million dollars each. LCS #1, the USS Freedom, cost $584 million dollars delivered. LCS #2, the USS Independence, cost $704 million dollars delivered. When the GAO issues a report questioning costs and designs, I pay attention. Because you've already spent my tax dollars.



As it has before, GAO also faulted the Navy for charging ahead with the LCS program even though it hasn’t finished what GAO considers a full or complete analysis.
