Beaten down to the ground by propaganda...
Edited on Wed Sep-01-10 09:09 AM by kentuck
The "surge" has now become conventional wisdom, even though it is mostly a lie.

The Democrats are going to lose big this fall. They may lose 60-70 seats in the House and they may lose the Senate. How do we know?

The media tells us it is so. They have taken polls.

If they tell us enough that a meteor is going to hit earth early next year, eventually we will all be looking for a place to hide. The anticipation becomes the reality.

But is it truly based on facts? Or wishes? Do they want Democrats to stay home on election day and prove them right? Or do they want them to vote? Do they want Republicans to be "enthusiastic" or do they want them to remember the disaster that was George W Bush?

The propaganda does not sleep. It goes on and on every minute of the day. You cannot escape it. Will it control you or will you be a survivor?

How many times must we tell you? Opposition is futile.

1. One cannot govern passively. Either we seize the message, or we are swept away by it.
I am of the opinion that, more likely than not, big actors on the stage of national politics have a rational reason for their behavior. Therefore, if national Dems are servile and acquiescent to Republican demands, I assume that Democrats actually support these Republicans demands, and are looking for political cover.

2. Or they are fearful of them?
Of their ability to destroy them and to investigate them and to imprison them if they so desire, whether or not they are guilty. The Republicans hold all the cards, it seems?
