Clooney Plans Political Drama

New York magazine reports that George Clooney will direct a big-screen adaptation of the off-Broadway play Farragut North, a political drama about campaign dirty tricks written by former Democratic political operative Beau Willimon and based loosely on the 2004 Howard Dean presidential campaign.

Clooney plans to start shooting this February with a cast that includes Philip Seymour Hoffman, Paul Giamatti, and possibly Chris Pine.

2. That George Clooney. Just another Hollywood liberal.
(And the more of 'em there are, the better!)

Recommended.

5. I hear ya. He's making movies that speak to what
voters really ought to be confronting in their communities and cities.

He's also a smart guy. I like that he's using his art to change minds. A lot of popcorn and Pepsi goes into studio films and Clooney, like Pitt and Redford, have got their peckers pointed north on a solid blue compass.

I have no idea what that means.

I'll keep buying tickets whenever those "Hollywood liberals" put out a film. My wish is that the whole country would see those films and change their minds about how things are and should be.
