So what great sin did North Carolina commit?
Or does that only apply to cities full of "colorful" people??

Anxiously waiting for Pat the Prophet to call this one for God!

2. Since it looks like even Hatteras will only get a glancing blow
I'm sure it will be claimed that all the prayers of southern Baptists caused their god to send the storm up toward godless New England.

You know their god is too weak to do anything he isn't told to do by the prayerful.

6. Take it a step farther to a time when God wasn't the great Santa in the sky who gave good fundies
everything the asked for. I remember a time when most religions preached that you could only pray for gods will to be done and be happy with whatever you had because that was gods will for you. Then the televangelists started telling people that God was Santa and if you sent money to them then you had a right to ask God for gifts. I remember people like my Grand father who where not into the greed feast that were outraged by the televangelists for corrupting religion, the problem was gramps generation also believed every mans God ideal was his right and he had no say on what someone else believed.

23. Hah. Everybody better watch out, then
because I'll be in Durham on Saturday. Well, we go pretty often being relatively close by. A couple of ladies we know who live in Oxford are celebrating their 6th anniversary so we're going to come over and have supper in town. With your Teh Gay and our Teh Gay and their Teh Gay, hope the fundigelicals are prayed-up :-)

11. God still hasn't forgiven us for Jessie Helms.
For most of my live, everywhere I have travelled, when I told people I was from North Carolina, many people looked at me with disgust and said, "ugh, Jessie Helms".

Sorry, but don't miss Jessie. Hope he's "up there", but well could be "down there".
