FOllow up to ebert posting...
I was very moved by Roger Ebert's column "Put Up OR Shut Up" about the "Obama Is a Muslim" "controversy." http://blogs.suntimes.com/ebert/2010/09/put_up_or_shut_up.html

...then I went back and read some of the comments.
My God, things are getting ugly.

1. The Know-Nothings' attitude towards democracy, equality, and free speech
is that if they don't win an argument by logic, reason, and facts, they should win it by their strident, loud voices with vicious words.

2. Know Nothing is a good term for them
considering that the original Know Nothings were virulently anti-Catholic.
