Barton, who recently joined the newest congressional caucus by Minnesota Representative Michelle Bauchman, the "Tea Party Caucus," knows a thing or two about what his constituents are asking for.
"I know some of you here are not all Republican but, you want lower taxes and less government and federal control," said Barton at the Texas Theatre in downtown Waxahachie Monday, Aug. 30.

When prompted on if he supported the teaching of "intelligent design" in conjunction with Evolution and other scientifically recognized theories in tax payer funded schools, Barton replied with a round of applause from the entire audience. "I would teach God as the creator."
"Public schools you don’t preach in but, you could certainly mention it when talking about the other theories."
Before he goes on to mention, "I am very blessed to know there is a God." A strong opponent of the Democratic universal healthcare more known as "ObamaCare," Barton is also a self described proponent to keeping taxes low and oil drilling in the U.S., an opponent of eminent domain and is willing to even agree to no capital gains tax.
