http://www.oregonlive.com/clark-county/index.ssf/2010/09/woman_burned_acid_in_vancouver_she_will_not_allow_attack_to_wreck_my_life.htmlHow do you measure, and what kind of yardstick do you use, the gumption of Bethany Storro?
The 28-year-old Vancouver woman was attacked Monday night by a woman who threw acid in her face.
She went from celebrating her new job and her recent move to Washington state from Idaho, to writhing in agony on the ground as the skin on her face bubbled and sizzled and portions of her blouse disintegrated.
Last night, Dr. Nick Eshraghi, a burn surgeon at the Oregon Burn Center at Legacy Emanuel Hospital, performed surgery on Storro’s face, removing dead skin from the areas that were most deeply injured.
This morning, her pain alleviated somewhat by a nerve block, Storro talked to reporters at a news conference for nearly 30 minutes, her face entirely swathed in white cotton bandages. Her parents, Nancy and Joe Neuwelt, were at her side.

I think this woman is very brave and forgiving.
