The fact that there is a paid holiday in this country called "Labor Day" ticks conservatives off almost as much as the fact that there's a paid holiday called "Martin Luther King Day".

8. I enjoyed working while everyone else at my place had the day off.
But that's partly my fault. I have a weird work schedule by choice.

11. Our holidays are unpaid as well
But still, it was nice having the long weekend. Got a lot done and enjoyed it so much. What we all could do if we had 3 day weekends every week.

13. No, I did not. And I work for a non-profit.
I had the day off from the "office." I worked for six hours at home. For the last six years, I've really resented that no one is allowed into the office to work because of the fuckload of work I have to do. It sets me back one whole day that I end up working an EXTRA fucking six hours through the week to make this one "free" day up.
Sorry to piss on everyone's day.

16. Actually, I worked...
but thanks to past efforts by union members, I enjoyed double pay today. Every benefit we have is because union members fought for them.

None of them are. But at least it was a day off. And I do not get off for MLK day.
