The rabid rightwinger that I know--who thinks Glenn Beck is a genius--is
batshit crazy. Ironically, he is a nice guy. However, he's got a screw
loose. Something is just wrong...very wrong.

I think these people are society's misfits. They've been in the shadows
for most of their life--always wanting to be part of the "in crowd." Then,
along comes Glenn Beck and tells them that they're smarter, better and
more moral than anyone else. Suddenly, these misfits have a bloated
sense of self importance.

That's why they vote against their own self interests. They'll believe
anything as long as Glenn Beck keeps making them feel like they're just
normal people--when they damn well know that they aren't.
